The first shipment unfortunately did not survive, but the seller promptly sent me a replacement. The replacement arrived in much better condition with visible growth buds, and one has now successfully sprouted. I really appreciate the excellent customer service and the seller’s willingness to make things right.

I have had to wait to be able to make an honest accurate evaluation of the Comfrey bundle. All was package well and made it through USPS delivery and upon receipt I unpackaged and placed the crown and root cuttings in water with root stimulator to soak overnight. I planted all in a large container with a good composted potting mix and within three days the crown began to send up new shoots. I have ordered cuttings from other sources before with no luck but of the four cuttings sent three have begun to send up shoots

The cuttings and crown grew right away! Unfortunately the deer loved them and ripped them out of the pots I had them in but that is no fault of the company. They all sprouted and started growing leaves beautifully! I need to buy more I have a better location for them

I've ordered from here several times and have been happy with each order. This time, I ordered comfrey roots. Of the 4 I received, 2 have popped up leaves and seem quite healthy. Somewhat disappointed with viability rate as I was hoping for more plants. There is still time for the other 2 roots to make good. We'll see.

I was skeptical at first as i planted my 4 small, lifeless looking cuttings about 3 to 4 inches deep into my rather heavy, cool soil here in central Wisconsin. None of them had sprouted after a month to 5 weeks but now after more than 2 months, all are up and growing rapidly. My advice to anyone planting these cuttings is to just have patience.

I purchased the root cuttings of comfrey and planted them as instructions indicated. I have not had one sprout yet. I gave it a 3 because I'm not sure how long it takes, but it's been a few weeks. (I planted a couple of days after receiving them.) I was given a comfrey plant by some friends of mine and it is planted near the root cuttings. It is thriving so far, so soil should be good for the cuttings. Not sure what I can do to help the cuttings along or if they aren't going to sprout at all. Need some advice. Thank you.

Of all the pieces of comfrey in the four bags only two plants germinated.

These cuttings were great! 10 out of 12 are doing great and ready for transfer to my garden. I enjoy the personalization of one of the family on the invoice, makes it feel homey, personal, and brings a smile. I'm recovering from spinal fusion surgery and am only planting items in my 7 raised beds. I have a 27 x 170' w/raised beds, and the beds are all I'm able to do this year. I lost my entire garden last year to weeds waiting for the surgeon to go through the Medicare fiasco to get me to this point...I'm semi-excited and yet *depressed* so to speak, that I cannot ever do the work I used to, being a retired full time framer and having had a Computer Business. I planned on re-working my Troybilt Tiller motor etc this winter, but couldn't, so there's no way I could use my tiller this spring either. I'm guessing you all had the Spring rains that we did here since you're basically east of me. I'm in NW Ohio close to the Route 24 Port to Fort Highway...Port of Toledo to Fort Wayne IN. But I did get a few things in like tomatoes, peppers, onions (from you), red and sweet potatoes, and a few beans. The root cuttings were great. I planted them each in their own individual pots to make sure they all came up before planting them out. They each came up very quickly and have been growing great Now I will plant them in their permanent spot. Very happy with the purchase.

Root cuttings were as described. In six weeks, 6 were just visible to 1 inch tall. Two came up after 7 - 7 1/2 weeks. They are growing and look healthy. In hindsight, the same money spent on crown cuttings gives much more weight of roots. In future years, will be interesting to see how these grow compared to crown cuttings from another source.
