While the product was not as perfect as it was marketed by Nabu Casa, it does its function. Service and delivery was excellent - package arrived in excellent condition, received it few days after I ordered it. 🚀

Works as it have to for a beginning.

This is a home assistant-compatible device that allows you to communicate with your home assistant’s assist feature using voice commands. It works straight out of the box with minimal configuration required, especially if you’re familiar with the home assistant ecosystem.

This is not a product for everyone. If you know what you are doing when you buy it, you will be satisfied. Easy integration, detects voice well, integrates with ai nicely. Only the quality of the built-in speaker is very average

To nie jest produkt dla wszystkich. Jeśli zaś wiesz co robisz kupując go to będziesz zadowolony. Łatwa integracja, dobrze wykrywa głos, fajnie integruje się z ai. Jedynie jakość wbudowanego głośnika mocno przeciętna

In terms of sound, thanks to the clear size, it's not a miracle box, but it's easy to set up and reliable.

The microphone could pick up the voice a little better, but for a product in the defacto "test" version, it works quite well with the Home Assistant.

Simple setup in homeassistant. It responds very quickly and flawlessly to "hey nabu". It also works great as a tts message speaker.

Prosta konfiguracja w homeassistant. Bardzo szybko i bezbłędnie reaguje na „hej nabu”. Super się sprawdza także jako głośnik komunikatów tts.

Works great as a local voice assistant in Home assistant, but only with appropriate AI such as LLMA or again externally supported by Gemini. Unfortunately, no individual wake-up words yet.

Funktioniert super als lokaler Sprachassistent in Home assistant, allerdings nur mit entsprechender KI wie LLMA oder doch wieder extern von Gemini unterstützt. Leider noch keine individuellen Wake-Up Words.

The voice recognition of the device cannot be compared to Google. After my research, I didn't expect anything else. I'm just getting started with Home Assistant. I wanted to use the original voice control right away. I assume that the developers behind Home Assistant are still making a real difference. The purchase process and delivery went well.

Die Spracherkennung des Gerätes ist nicht mit Google zu vergleichen. Habe nach meinen Recherchen auch nichts anderes erwartet. Fange gerade mit Home Assistent an. Da wollte ich gleich die originale Sprachsteuerung verwenden. Ich gehe davon aus, dass die Entwickler hinter Home Assistent da noch richtig was bewegen. Die Kaufabwicklung und Lieferung lief bestens.

Nice device, but it has some bugs. Looking at the fact that this is a "Preview Edition", it is good, and a big plus is the AUX port, which you can use to connect to the speaker. If you have speakers, and you pay for Nabu Casa, buy it, but if you don't have a subscription to Nabu Casa, don't buy it at the moment. But I see the future in this device

Fajne urzadzenie, ale ma trochę błędów. Patrząc na to, że jest to “Preview Edition”, to jest dobre, i dużym plusem jest port AUX, którym można podłączyć się do głośnika. Jak masz głośniki, i płacisz za Nabu Casa, to kup, ale jak nie masz subskrypcji do Nabu Casy, to na ta chwilę nie kupuj. Ale widzę przyszłość w tym urządzeniu

It is, as the name suggests, an experimental device to be able to experiment a bit with speech recognition and speech output. In this respect, it meets the expectation, but is still a long way from a really helpful device. Especially since it either has to work with third-party IT (cloud) (which counteracts the advantage) or is dependent on more local hardware than the HA green sold here can offer. In combination with this, it must therefore be operated in a reduced "phrase mode", which correctly recognizes sentences that the assistant could process, but does not forward them because they do not belong to the specified "phrase scope". You can read in the log that this could have worked, but it doesn't. So there is still room for improvement in both the software and the HW, but you shouldn't expect anything else with the title "Preview".

Es ist wie der Name vermuten lässt ein experimentelles Gerät um etwas mit Spracherkennung und Sprachausgabe experimentieren zu können. Insofern erfüllt es die Erwartung, ist aber von einem wirklich hilfreich nutzbaren Gerät noch ein gutes Stück entfernt. Besonders da es entweder doch mit einer fremden IT (Cloud) arbeiten muss (was den Vorteil konterkariert) oder auf mehr lokale Hardware angewiesen ist, als das auch hier verkaufte HA green bieten kann. In Kombination damit muss man es daher in einem reduzierten "Phrasen Modus" betreiben, der Sätze die der Assistent verarbeiten könnte zwar durchaus korrekt erkennt, diese aber nicht weiterleitet, weil sie nicht zum vorgegebenen "Phrasenumfang" gehören. Man kann im Log mitlesen, dass das wohl hätte klappen können, es aber nicht wirklich tut. Da ist also sowohl bei der Software als auch bei der HW noch Luft nach oben, aber man darf bei dem Titel "Preview" auch nichts anderes erwarten.

It has potential for a preview edition. It sometimes crashes if you don't use it for a long time: wake word wakes it up, but it doesn't answer, you have to ask again. On orangepi zero 3 local speech to text is a slow, on the nabu cloud it works sensibly. It's worth playing around with GPT settings.

Ma potencjał, jak na preview edition. Ma czasem zwiechy jeśli się dłuższy czas nie używa: wake word go wybudza, ale nie odpowiada, trzeba zapytać jeszcze raz. Na orangepi zero 3 lokalne speech to text jest a wolne, na chmurze nabu działa sensownie. Warto się pobawić ustawieniami GPT.
