The cake decoration was beautiful, but unfortunately, the cake itself was very disappointing. It consisted mostly of meringue, with only a very thin layer of cake. This was my first and last time purchasing from this place.

First time that we were sooo disappointed with the Black Forest cake. The cake itself was dry and it was suppose to be whipping cream but it definitely wasn’t. It tasted more like a whipped topping and not real whipping cream. I think new ownership as the quality was much poorer than previous orders. Having said that it had been a long time since we have ordered from Venetos and sadly won’t be returning. A lot of money to spend on that quality. Sorry!

I ordered a Diplomat cake for a birthday. Although it looked good from the outside, once it was sliced up, it only had one pastry layer at the bottom which was soggy and not flaky like other diplomat cakes I’ve had. I just tried another baker’s Diplomat cake and it had three flaky pastry layers. I was very disappointed as I’ve had many cakes from Veneto’s in the past. For the $55 I spent I expected much more quality than I received. I doubt if I will trust them again.

I was disappointed with my recent experience. I placed a cake order online, but when I arrived for pickup, I was told it wasn’t ready because online orders need to be confirmed by phone. I couldn’t find this policy on the website, and I was asked to wait another 10–15 minutes. Unfortunately, when the cake was served, the bread was very dry and didn’t taste fresh. Since I had ordered the cake for someone else, it was quite embarrassing. I hope the bakery can improve both the inline order process and the freshness of their cakes.

I was quite disappointed with the chocolate cake. Based on the description on the website, I was expecting a rich chocolate cake with silky chocolate buttercream frosting. Unfortunately, that’s not what I received. The chocolate flavor was very mild and lacked the richness you’d expect from a premium chocolate cake. The frosting also didn’t seem like chocolate buttercream, it tasted more like plain whipped cream, similar to what you can find on inexpensive grocery store cakes. Overall, the cake had very little flavor and didn’t justify the premium price. The cake looked beautiful, but appearance alone isn’t enough. I ordered it based on the detailed description on the website, and the actual product did not match those expectations. I hope the bakery either updates the product description to accurately reflect what they’re selling or improves the recipe to deliver the rich chocolate flavor and buttercream frosting that they advertise.

The front of house staff are always pleasant and smiling. I really appreciate the new online ordering system. Much better than the previous one. Our cake was beautiful and delicious. This is an annual birthday cake request from my son.

Our black forest cake was really dry and pretty dissapointing. Service was great and friendly, but cake tasted grocery store quality. Sorry, but it really wasn't good.

We always order from here and there cakes are so delicious and accommodates allergies which is what I love . We will be ordering again soon !

I ordered a black Forest cake. The cake was dry and the icing was an edible oil product. You are suppose to use whip cream and cherries and kirsch flavoring. The cake tasted no better than a cake you would get at Superstore, only a lot more expensive.

I have been ordering cakes from Vento's for a few years now. The cakes are always fresh and delicious. The St.Honore cake is my favorite. I highly recommend it.

Honesty the cake was horrible. My daughter wanted a red velvet cake so bad for her birthday. It Was expensive and no body liked it. It Was terrible tasting and looked nothing like the pictures on the website. Unfortunately I will never go back to this bakery again. It a shame because it use to be soooo Good! What happened?
