I had been suffering from painful gastric reflux and continous burping for hours every night for years, which has been getting worse. I was no longer able to lie flat to sleep and could never get through the night without having to get up and walk the room rubbing my stomach. I was desperate for relief. Then I learned that low stomach pH can cause these symptoms and started to take Betaine HCl, 2x capsules with every meal, plus one capsule of digestive enzymes, and within a month my digestive problems had eased. I still have to take care not to eat later than 6 pm, but with these tablets I can now sleep completely flat through the night, even without any pillows, and not have any gastric reflux. I accidently ran out of the Betaine HCl last week and the digestive enzymes alone did not do the trick. I started to get mild symptoms of reflux and burping back although not as bad as before. So now I know it is the combination of lowering the stomach pH plus the enzymes that are working together to stop the reflux. My life has changed completely and I am so so grateful. Cannot recommend this product highly enough.
