So good I am back for more (and not because I messed up last draft)! A warning, keep your lint roller, spray bottle, and ironing board on standby, this twill will get dirty just by looking at it. Very good bias stretch, not the softest and smoothest wool out there, but it is also fairly warm and sturdy as well. Would absolutely recommend for reenactors!

Detailed descriptions of the fabrics allowed me to choose a perfect wool for my needs. Pictures helped a lot, too - they reflected the real colour well. Good job, Woolsome! 💯

Very good

The wool is very smooth and round, you won't get a sharp pleat. The give, when bias cut, is stretchy but it is a slow, heavy stretch. Would not recommend for tight fitting hose as they are too thick IMO but there won't be much wrinkling from them. Demi-felts a fair amount when washing so be more careful with it vs a tighter broadcloth, irons very well, would advise to get a wool brush or comb for finishing touches as you'll want to hand-apply a good directional nap to it.

If you don't have a certain project in mind, it's still good to give this fabric a go - it's so thick, warm and dense that you will surely find a solution for it in a blink of the eye. Multipurpose textile for historical garments. This softness, this quality, this colour... Love it. Beautiful wool fabric, this medium fulled twill looks even better in real life than in the pictures.
