My account was hacked through a fake job posting, allowing scammers to access all of my personal data via TEFL.com. Although the site responded quickly by taking down the ad and contacting the associated school, the damage had already been done, and my data was compromised. I believe they need to implement stronger screening measures for job postings and recruiters to better protect jobseekers’ data and uphold trust in the site’s security.

As usual, an efficient easy-to-use service which produces results. We always use tefl.com to recruit teachers. We have found it to be the most efficient option.

Overall it was a very easy and smooth process. The only issue we keep having is that many, many people apply who don't have the qualifications we are asking for, and they even don't apply for the right job! However, the experience with tefl.com has always been great so no complaints there at all.

Let me start by saying I do not rate the company badly - I have plenty positive precious experiences, but this one wasn’t great. Nearly all, bar maybe 2, were applying for a teachers role…we were not advertising for a teacher this time. Secondly, one of the major criteria was the candidate needed to be fluent in Korean and not one candidate spoke Korean at any level. Just a poor experience on this occasion.

We have been using Tefl.com for years and have always experienced a great service. The page enables us to easily state all necessary information in clearly labelled sections so that candidates can browse without trouble. The advertisement is posted immediately and we are updates as soon as we receive a new application. The CV format is well-formatted, which makes for efficient reading when it comes to finding out whether each profile would be suitable for us. It would be beneficial if we were able to have a slightly longer word count on some advertisement sections (company and profile positions).

Nearly all the applications we received were from people who we couldn’t employ. We advertised clearly our requirements but they were ignored. This advertisement was a waste of time and money. We are now advertising on another site.

I was pleased with the number of good quality candidates. I think this was due to the high demand of online work.

The service of TEFL.com was fine but the applicants were extremely disappointing. I had 2 people stand me up for scheduled interviews with no excuses or apologies and various people who applied for the job but never responded to me contacting them. In general, it was a frustrating experience due to the lack of seriousness from the candidates. I suggest you introduce a system for applicants to be reported/reviewed if they behave inappropriately as well as recruiters.

Too many applicants without the right to work in EU

TEFL.com provides an excellent easy-to-use service for recruiters. It's fast and efficient and offers features which make it easier and faster to manage large numers of applications, something that busy language school owners can really appreciate. I have been using TEFL.com for about ten years now. I've never had any issues and I've always been able to find the right teachers for the job, which means I don't have to spend money advertising on any other platforms.

As an employer of English language teachers I am satisfied overall with the Tefl.com job ads service. The set up is quite intuitive and easy. The notifications to your inbox are very easy to manage and the site is very well known internationally so it offers a lot of exposure for recruiters. In conclusion the cost is fair so it's a good instrument for the ELT sector.

Dear Sir/Madam Thank you for your follow up from our recent recruitment campaign. To be honest, our campaign was not a success. • Due to Covid travel restrictions, our ad was to specifically target candidates currently residing in China, Hong Kong or Macao – we received only one application meeting this specification. • We did receive, as you highlighted, 147 applications. However, despite the fact that the current location of the candidates was a defining factor in our ability to employ them (and this was clearly stated in the title of the post and the job post itself) all but one of the applicants were in the wrong location – I would suggest some sort of filter to your website interface with this in mind as currently, globally, there are many travel restrictions/bubbles. • Additionally as we move forward into a new era of travel restrictions, may I suggest it would be worth exploring this as a field on your website covering quarantine requirements when entering a new country and even a note on whether an employer would cover any fees associated with a mandatory hotel quarantine.
