The order of talks was all wrong. You can't open with a guy who says 'You are all obsolete and tooling and language doesn't matter anymore and the only skill that matters is how fast you can interact with AI agents' and then have talks about tools and languages. And also Obie's talk sounded hostile - like something he usually delivers to CEOs and investors. 'Look how much we can save if we fire all these people' then an afterthought 'Oh but I'm talking to THESE PEOPLE so I'll throw in some placating platitudes for them'. And peddling a book that ChatGPT wrote for him? That was an insult to an injury. And the sandwiches at the afterparty were dry and there was no non-alcoholic beer available.

The first talk was a direct insult to all programmers in the room. It was also tactically nonsensical for you to stage first a talk that made all following talks sound pointless. On top of that, it was far too obvious how much you forced “AI” into the rest of the talks, making them less interesting and more obnoxious. I’m very disapponted, this was the last time i attended.

I learned quite a bit during the conference.
