Disappointing Stay – Definitely Room for Improvement Unfortunately, we were left rather disappointed after our recent three-night stay. Housekeeping was below expectations. During our stay, the room was not vacuumed, nor were the surfaces in the bedroom or bathroom wiped down. We booked half-board, but the food was very hit-and-miss. The children's dinner options were particularly disappointing – overcooked chicken nuggets, chips and peas simply aren't enough variety. Breakfast was also lacking, with no yoghurts or fresh juice available. Breakfast service was absolute chaos. Guests were queuing all the way up the stairs, while staff were running around like headless chickens. There was no visible management trying to organise things or even apologise for the long waits. The restaurant layout doesn't help matters. Tables are positioned far too close together, meaning you can hear everyone else's conversations. The space between the buffet and tables is extremely narrow, making it difficult to move around, particularly when staff and guests are all trying to get through. On a positive note, the swimming pool was lovely and warm, which we really appreciated. However, it would be a nice touch to provide children's bathrobes in the rooms, especially for a family-friendly resort. Another inconvenience was the lack of luggage trolleys. We had to make several trips back and forth to the car to carry our belongings, which isn't ideal when travelling with a child. The car park is also rather expensive, particularly considering that you're already paying to stay at the resort. Entertainment for children was very limited. Apart from a small soft-play area, a few video games and a pool table, there really wasn't much to keep younger guests occupied. We visited during the autumn school holidays, around Halloween, so it would have been lovely to see some organised crafts, Halloween-themed activities or entertainment for children. The location is certainly a positive, being close to the town, and the warm swimming pool was enjoyable. However, overall, the resort fell short of our expectations. For a property presenting itself as a family-friendly destination, I would expect better housekeeping, more organised restaurant service, thoughtful touches for families and more activities for children. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend this resort to friends or family, and I don't think we would return.
