Support Ended After My Denial
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.
I came to Disability Credit Canada because of the confidence their website inspired. I was told I had a very strong case and that it would be unusual for me not to qualify. Based on that advice, I moved forward with the application.
I did everything they asked of me. I gathered every document they requested and even paid my physician $150 to complete the required medical forms. I was told that fee would be reimbursed, but I never received reimbursement.
What disappointed me most was the complete lack of transparency throughout the process. I was never shown exactly what was being submitted to the CRA on my behalf, so I had no opportunity to review or confirm the information before it was sent.
Unfortunately, my Disability Tax Credit application was denied. I understand that not every application will be approved, and I don't blame the company simply because my application was unsuccessful. The CRA makes its decision based on the medical information it receives.
My concern is what happened after the denial.
Communication essentially stopped. I received no meaningful follow-up, no discussion about why the application was denied, no guidance on whether there were options to request a review or submit additional medical information, and no response to my attempts to reach out. After I had provided everything requested, I felt completely abandoned.
The experience left me feeling that the support ended the moment my application was unsuccessful.
Perhaps others have had excellent experiences, and I'm genuinely glad if they have. Mine was very different.
If you're considering using this company, I encourage you to ask detailed questions before signing up. Ask whether you'll receive copies of everything submitted to the CRA, what happens if your application is denied, whether they assist with reviews or appeals, and get any promises, such as reimbursement of physician fees, in writing.
I can't recommend the service based on my experience.
